Saturday, May 14, 2022 Dear Woodholme Members, As we prepare for the upcoming season, we would like to thank all of our Members for their continued support of the Club. We would also like to take the time to update the Membership on policies, hours of operation, and rules for the season, as well as new items added to the pickle ball calendar. Failure to sign will result in a double charge.  Nannies, Caregivers, or Grandparents are considered guests if the Member is present. However, if a Nanny, Caregiver, or Grandparent(s) would like to bring the child of a Member in their absence, no guest fee will be charged.  We ask that you obey all posted rules while at the pool. Guest Fees: Weekday                      $12 Weekend & Holiday      $25 Cabana Reservations: All Cabanas are on a first-come, first-serve basis. We ask that you call the front desk at (410) 486-3700 on Wednesday's to make a Cabana reservation for the up-coming weekend. General Seating areas do not require a reservation, and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Golf Course/Pro Shop: New Course Usage for Social Members: All Social/Sport Members of WCC will now be able to play golf, bring guests, and use the practice facilities once per month. Members will be charged a guest fee of $100 to play as a single; additional fees will be charged if using a cart. A Member may bring up to 3 guests to play, paying current guest fees, and cart fees if used. Time of practice or play for social/sport members is restricted to Tuesday's-Thursday's from open to close and Friday's-Sunday's from 2pm-close. There is no play or practice permitted on Holidays. Our new guest policy for all golf course activities are as follows: Any Member may bring the same guest twice per month, per year. However, if the guest is a former Member of the Club that has resigned within the last five years, play is limited to the existing policy of three times per year. Repair any/all ball-marks you see while on the green. Please exit the fairways at the designated posts, always on the tee side of the post. Remember to rake bunkers prior to leaving any sand trap. Monitor your pace of play, the posted time for an 18 hole round 4 hours and 15 minutes. Use proper etiquette by announcing an errant shot, and always politely ask to play through while approaching slower paced players. We will be marshalling the course on busy days to improve the pace of play. Pickle-Ball: Woodholme will now be involved with a weekly pickle-ball league with 9 other Clubs in the area. We will compete in a weekly inter-club league, complete with home & away matches, and we are looking for additional Members to complete the team. Pickle-Ball Inter-Club League play will begin May 26th. If you are interested in playing in this league, please contact the following Members below: Syndi Saltzman                         Nancy Brown rob.syn@comcast.net               pipersbat@gmail.com (410) 746-8009                         (410) 977-2151 Access the Pickle-Ball Inter-Club League Schedule and Information here: 2022 BPI Schedule V2.pdf Open Play Rules: No registration required, please inform the Club of any guests Games played to 11 points, win by 2, with 15 point cap Winners stay on court and split-up, players that lost come off and put their paddles in the holder and wait for their turn next game If there are more than 6 people waiting to play, after a player or team wins twice in a row, they come off the courts and wait their turn Reserved Court Rules: Members must sign up via Sign Up Genius Reservations will be for 1.5 hours of play per court maximum Guests must be accompanied on court with a WCC member You may only sign up for a week at a time We will open the sign up again for the following week every Sunday Members will not be allowed to reserve the same court times every week Sign Up Genius reservations will start on May 24th, 2022 Tennis & Pickle-Ball Guest Fees: $10 per guest $75 for a 10 guest booklet New Pickle-Ball instruction will be announced very soon. A favorite WCC instructor will be returning to offer beginner clinics and lessons, as well as skills and drills clinics for our more advanced players.
