🚩 Letter to Members

January 26, 2022 Dear Members, The Maryland Private Golf Club Conference is the governing body of the B team. In the best interest of the club, I have signed Woodholme up to participate this season. What is the B team? The B team is a season long interclub event that plays in a round robin format against the other teams in its division. Who can play? Any full-time member may participate so long as their handicap index is above 4.0 and they are over the age of 21 What is the format? The B team format is better ball of partners, all playing from the SAME tees designated by the pro of at least 6300 yards. Three matches are played at home and 3 matches are played at the away club in a Nassau 3-point scoring system. Match 1 has a minimum combined handicap index of 9.0, match 2 is 11.0 and match 3 is 14.0. All matches are played at scratch within applicable pairing.  When do the matches play? Matches are played from April through August and fall on Saturdays 1-2 times per month. Starting times are from 10:00-12:00 each Saturday with Sunday reserved as a rain date. Is there a fee to play? Each member playing home or away will be charged a $45 fee that covers the cart and the after-play food/beverage.
